Klepser's collection was formed between the mid 1940's to mid 1960's. It includes a representation of the majority of shapes and patterns produced at Worcester between 1751 and 1776, and contains a number of previously unrecorded pieces.
Just over half the collection was purchased from T. Leonard Crow, an antiques dealer in the Cotswolds, and some of the correspondence between Klepser (who lived in the USA) and Crow is also published here.
A significant contribution to 18th century ceramics, beautifully illustrated.
