1st edition hardback in very good condition.  15 colour plates by the author's late friend, Cornish artist John Miller, most of them full page, + b&w decorations.  Dj vg, shows very light shelf wear, overall a very nice clean copy. 284 pages with index.

This is not a vegetarian cookery book.  Marika Hanbury Tenison presents recipes which emphasise the qualities and variety of many vegetables, and which help the meat portions stretch a little further!  She has drawn on the cuisine of East & West  to produce food that is quick and easy to prepare and delicious to eat.  There are hot and cold recipes for soups, quiches, pates, casseroles, salads and ragouts, and they include some innovative combinations of flavour.
