Don't think this means we're not interested in food at Sharps Books - far from it!!! What does matter to us though, is quality of writing, and with the best will in the world, books that give us just recipes...."then you take this, then you do that.." are not what inspires us to get the wok out. We are now offering a few "tasters" - books by people who have often had other careers before adopting the Aga, and for whom writing is as pleasurable as cooking - so - check out Elizabeth David, Jane Grigson, Nigella Lawson, (Yes, we know she's a celeb, but she cut her teeth on the knife of journalism,) Lynda Brown, Claudia Roden... and then, keep on looking if you see your home and table as a way of expressing yourself creatively. We also aim to keep the selection biased towards really healthy eating, so have a look at books by Michel Montignac, Michael van Straten, Jane Clarke and Patrick Holford.
