Otherwise unmarked, no inscriptions or damage. Beautiful full page colour photos of each species + additional smaller ones. Deborah Kellaway has written about the flowers in her garden that belong to the Ranunculaceae family. These include clematis, winter aconite, adonis flower, hellebore, anemone, marsh marigold, buttercup, globe flower, columbine, meadow rue, delphinium, larkspur, love-in-a-mist, monkshood, Japanese anemone, bugbane and baneberry. Month by month, season by season, she has examined the buds and flowers as they unfold and has then examined the intricacies of each plant to discover the family likenesses. Her descriptive powers rival the superb Beth Chatto and in the same way Deborah Kellaway provides a wealth of practical information on cultivation, planting and positioning of the plants she describes. A lovely and informative book, ideal bedtime reading!
