2nd imp. hardback copy of this moving story. 224 pages, 20 b&w photos. Hard covers in excellent condition, dj has a little creasing to top edge and very slight fading/sunning but is in otherwise good condition and now in vinyl covering. The story of two men, father and son. They both fought in Vietnam, and the father was the one who ordered the Agent Orange defoliation, to protect his son and every other man who fought under him in the river war. Now the son has two forms of cancer, and in turn his son is plagued by a severe learning disability. He believes that exposure to Agent Orange was the cause of the cancers and his son's brain dysfunction as many other Vietnam veterans and their children suffer similar fates. As a proud and honest man, Admiral Zumwalt accepts responsibility for the order he gave in Vietnam, and its consequences. These two men linked by more than just blood and name, are paying a heavy price for their time in Vietnam, but bound by a deep and abiding father and son love they are helping each other.
