Internally crisp and unmarked, no previous owner inscriptions. Photography by Bob Edelson. Contains 55 full colour plates representing the most interesting and diverse street art produced in America during the last ten years of the 20th century. Most comes from New York City and Miami, because that's where Bob Edelson spends most of his time, but there are also examples from Los Angeles, Key West, New Orleans and Montreal. It would probably be more accurate to call most of the works shown in this book 'murals' rather than graffiti, which usually refers to 'tags' - names of the artists or local gangs. Either way they are graphic, colourful symbols of their times.
