An excellent copy, clean and unmarked, in a very good, price clipped dj. Ornamental grasses make an excellent, trouble-free addition to the mixed border. They are not easy to identify and the precise, non technical descriptions in this book are an important feature of the text. All the ornamental grasses at present in cultivation are included in an A-Z list, with some less well known but very attractive varieties. There are also sections, with an A - Z, on bamboos and sedges. The final 2 chapters cover rushes and cat-tails. The author has provided a hardiness zone map and conversion tables in the appendices and there is a list of suppliers and a 4 page glossary of terms. There is good guidance on how to grow grasses to best advantage in the garden + practical advice on cultivation and propogation. An expert treatment of a popular species much favoured by Beth Chatto.
